Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility
LA Sculpt is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that every visitor deserves a welcoming, usable, and inclusive digital experience — and we are actively working to make that a reality.
Accessibility is not a one-time task for us. It is an ongoing priority, and we are dedicated to continually evaluating and improving the usability of this site.
Standards We Follow
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and WCAG 2.2 Level AA — the internationally recognized standards for web accessibility developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or voice input tools.
How We Evaluated This Site
Between January and March 2026, we conducted a comprehensive accessibility audit of all pages on this website. Our evaluation included:
Automated testing using the Accessibility Insights for Web tool (60 automated checks per page)
Manual evaluation covering all WCAG 2.1 AA and 2.2 AA success criteria, including keyboard navigation, focus management, screen reader compatibility, heading structure, color contrast, form labeling, touch target sizing, and more
Color contrast analysis using the Colour Contrast Analyser tool
Testing on macOS using keyboard-only navigation
Pages audited include: Home, About Lauren, Classes, Pricing, Register Now, Book Me for Events, Get in Touch, and FAQ & Policies.
Where issues were identified, we implemented targeted remediation — including custom CSS overrides, ARIA label additions, heading structure corrections, keyboard focus improvements, form labeling enhancements, and touch target size adjustments.
Current Conformance Status
Following our audit and remediation work, the majority of pages on this website meet or closely align with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Seven of eight audited pages achieved a pass rate of 99–100% across all evaluated criteria.
Known Limitations
We are transparent about the areas where full accessibility has not yet been achieved, and why. The following known limitations exist on this site:
Third-Party Booking Widget (Classes Page)
The Classes page embeds a scheduling widget provided by Mindbody, a third-party software platform. Because this widget is delivered via a cross-origin iframe and its markup is controlled entirely by the vendor, we are unable to directly remediate all accessibility issues within it. Known limitations include:
The date selector calendar strip is not fully navigable by keyboard or arrow keys
Some dropdown fields within the widget do not expose accessible names to assistive technologies (WCAG 4.1.2)
Text within the widget does not respond to user-applied text spacing adjustments (WCAG 1.4.12)
Internal heading semantics and ARIA role implementation are outside our control
To ensure all users can complete a booking, we have added a fully keyboard-accessible "Log In to Book on Mindbody" button that links directly to the Mindbody booking portal as an accessible alternative. We have also notified Mindbody of the identified issues, and remediation is pending vendor action.
Form Submission Confirmation Messages
Newsletter subscription confirmation messages ("Thank you!") on the Home and About Lauren pages are displayed visually but are not programmatically announced to assistive technologies via ARIA live regions. This is a limitation of the Squarespace newsletter block, which does not provide a mechanism to add live region attributes. This issue has been documented and is under review.
CMS Platform Constraints (Squarespace)
This website is built on the Squarespace platform. Some structural HTML is generated automatically by Squarespace's template engine and is outside our direct control. While automated validators may flag parsing-level issues originating from the CMS, we have verified through functional testing with keyboard navigation that all content and interactive controls are programmatically determinable and operable.
